Introducing Shot Online: Episode 1

This feature will start after tonights scheduled maintenance, Monday June 8th 2009.

Episode 1 Includes:
-New tutorial system for better understanding of how to start playing Shot Online.
-Happy course events > Benefits on playing the least played courses
-New course > CT Park Public
oNine (9) holes
oPerfect for beginners and/or perfecting your game
-Unlock courses by completing quests in the new Course Open System
-Quest helper

Purpose of Episode 1:
-Focusing on beginners of Shot Online and turning them into better players

Whats new?

New tutorials
- Even if it is your first time playing Shot Online or getting into golf, one of our caddies will guide you the right way to a good start on your golf career

Happy Course
- Server automatically selects two courses that were the least played the day before and sets them as Happy Course. When a course is selected as a Happy Course, benefits will be added for playing on these courses.

New course
- First 9 holes public course for all players but mainly recommended for beginners. Players can experience various types of lies such as rough, fairway, bunker, and green. With easy flat greens, it will give players the confidence they need to play in tougher courses and also with the worst weather conditions.

Course Open System
- After creating a character, only seven (7) courses are available for you to play on. To unlock more courses, complete the quests given to you by an NPC or reach the level requirement to unlock those courses.

Quest helper
- Now it is easier than ever to complete your quests. Now you can see the quests you are currently on, quests you have completed in the past, and the next available quests.

New Tutorial:
Four (4) new and enhanced quests that helps guide you in becoming successful in the world of Shot Online
-How to select clubs
-How to swing a club
-Different lies in Shot Online (fairway, rough, bunker, green, etc)
-How to putt

Happy Course Events:
-Receive UP TO two times (2x) experience randomly
-50% off green fees on the selected Happy Courses
-No fatigue rate when playing on the Happy Courses
-If you get a hole in one, you will receive 1 Lucky Box
-If you score par or better (72 or lower), you will receive Thor Power Drink A

*Note: EXP bonus is different depending on the usage of the course.

If the usage of the course is below 1%, 200% more EXP will be selected.

If the usage of the course is between 1% and 5%, 100% more EXP will be selected.

-Server will use the usage of all courses from 12:00AM to 12:00AM
-Happy Course starts from 1:00AM to 1:00AM

CT Park Public:
Very easy 9 hole course with a beautiful scenery of a city in the background. Highly recommended for new comers of Shot Online!
9 holes (Par 37)
Difficulty: Easy
Description:
You can learn and experience various types of lie such as fairway, rough, bunker, and etc. The greens of this course are mostly flat for an easy experience.

*Note: Since it is a 9 hole course, scores, handicap, and stats will not be recorded.


Course Open System:
This system will help players choose a course that is proper according to their level. The higher level you reach, the more courses will be available to you to play from. This system only applies to players whom create their character after the Episode 1 updates. Players whom creates their character after Episode 1 updates only has these courses unlocked: CT Park Public, Alfheim, Sosori, Midas Valley, Namchon CC, and Karuizawa. Other courses will be unlocked by completing quests or reaching a certain level.


Quest Helper:
Goal: To help you navigate through your quests, see previous quests, and next available quests.
You can access the quest helper by pressing Alt + Q to bring up the quest window. You will see the quests you are currently on, quests you have completed, and quests that are available to you.
We have also enhanced the quests so they are easier and clearer to view.
