Server Maintenance Issues

Date Oct 27, 2010 Views 15,779
Hello Shot Online Community,

As many of you have noticed, we had some trouble this morning after making the servers live; we were busy trying to communicate with the developers about fixes, so no formal announcements were made at the time, but here is an update of the problems and the solutions:

AH Down - Resolved

Hollid Happy Course (wrong course information)- Resolved

Buying CC - some players were having problems purchasing CC, it seems to have been a problem with the launch of Legend of Edda where the coding was adjusted; the issue should be Resolved now

Client crashing at the beginning of a round - A patch was loaded into the client and it seems to have resolved the issue

The Guild Coupon View - It seems that the DB containing the information is taking some time to refresh, but we have been informed that this issue has been resolved.

TP Test problems - Some people were having the same problem as the client crashing thus resulting in them using their turn without being able to even tee off; The developers have informed us that they will reset the status of those who are not currently in the middle of the test, and it should restore the number of tries to 0.

DHI Due to client crashing - The DHI of many okayers increased due to the client crashing, again we were informed that it will be reset.

The Tour Pro Test Requirement changing from 90 days semi to 30 days - Apperently there were flaws in the coding of that particular system, so unfortunately it has been delayed until it can be repaired. We will keep you informed.

The putting guide function for beginners -  was removed as some problems were unveiled in the coding; This will likely be reimplimented in the next scheduled maintenance, however we will let you know if it is delayed any further.

Again We appologize that there were so many problems that revealed themselves once servers went up.

If you have any further questions, please relay them to the DQA Board for more assistance.

Sincerely,
Shot-Online GM Cam
