SO Community, We understand everyone is frustrated with the changes to mastery mode EXP but we hope everyone understands it is the best thing to do for the life of the game. Before the change, mastery mode was set to 2.6x EXP and during the maintenance, we changed it to 1.3x to match other services. Global service players were leveling way faster than the other services and it is not because we play more nor have better items. It is because of the huge difference in mastery mode EXP. Germany service: 1.3x EXP for mastery (does not get 10% bonus EXP for completing 18 holes.) Korean service: 1.2x EXP for mastery (does not get 10% bonus EXP for completing 18 holes.) Global: 1.3% EXP for mastery +10% bonus EXP for completing all 18 holes. We are still at an advantage over other services because of the 10% bonus EXP after completing 18 holes. Our development team, QA team, planning team, and publishing team all decided to go ahead with the change so it was not a decision made by one person or one team. We are now thinking about the future of mastery mode. It is possible that we might have new functions such as more EXP for playing with rain or high wind and/or updating Gold Plus memberships with better benefits but same or lower price.
