Hello Shot Online Community,
Unfortunately, it seems like GameGuard is acting up once again. For those of you who are getting any error message related to GameGuard (258, nProtectGameGuard REV, 150, 253, 153, and etc.) please completely uninstall the game client and then re-download the latest game client available on our website, shotonline.gamescampus.com. When the download is done, please make sure to install the game WITHOUT Raptr. (We are going to remove this option from the installation process) When you have finished installing the game client, please make sure to add the ENTIRE "GamesCampus" folder on your PC to the exception list of your anti-virus program. A lot of anti-virus programs see 'GameGuard' as a threat/virus/rootkit and unless you add GameGuard to the exception list of your anti-virus program, your GameGuard files may have problems bypassing your anti-virus program. If this does not work for you, please be patient, as we are awaiting for GameGuard's response to these issues. Also, there are players who are having trouble re-installing the game client. If you are one of them, please make sure to re-install the game with the latest game client available on our website. Make sure that the old game files are completely deleted from your PC before you proceed with the re-installation process. We are doing our best to communicate with the development team and GameGuard to resolve any on-going issues with Shot Online. Please be patient as we will resolve these issues within today, 12/04/12. We highly appreciate your time and patience. Thank you. Updated 00:35, 12/05/12 Sorry about the late update on this issue. We've been trying to find a solution for the issues regarding GameGuard and Updating/Patching but we were not able to find a solution yesterday as we expected to. This does not mean we've given up on those of you who are having these issues. We will be doing further investigation today on both issues and hopefully resolve them before/during the maintenance that will be taking place tomorrow approximately at 2:00 PM. We were reported by a player that he was able to resolve GameGuard related issue by removing the "gameguard.ver" file out of the GameGuard folder, so please try doing so even if you think that your issue is not related to GameGuard. Thank you, Shot Online Team |
