Upcoming plans for EXP table adjustments

Date Feb 24, 2016 Views 22,786
Hello Shot Online Community,

You have long asked for adjustments to the current EXP table for Shot Online. Since WEBZEN started working with GamesCampus, this was one of the first, and one of the most discussed issues that you felt had to be adjusted as soon as possible.

We had many internal discussions, reviewed our Shot Online survey results and other version differences between the North American, German, French and Spanish Shot Online versions. At this point, we have come to a decision that all parties agree to, and most importantly complies with what you, the Shot Online players, requested for a very long time.

The EXP table in Shot Online will soon be adapted to the table of Shot Online Europe. This adjustment will not only mean that leveling will require less EXP going forward, but also that your current level will be adjusted to account for the EXP that you have earned.

This change is not an easy one to perform. Especially our Shot Online veterans will understand that there were many changes introduced in order to make leveling easier here, changes that we must take a second look at and consider, when the EXP difference between versions is removed. We're still discussing the effects of this, but once levelling becomes easier, one of the changes you can expect are adjustments to EXP Events. We are running a lot more, longer, and stronger EXP events compared to the European versions of Shot Online, in order to compensate for our steep EXP table. Once the table is identical to the EU service, we will have to adjust our EXP events accordingly as well.

Other changes are still being discussed, and we will provide more in-depth information at a later stage.

Our goal is to bring Shot Online North America, and Shot Online Europe as close together as possible. What this means is that we would like to avoid major version differences in the future, and provide very similar services in regards to new content releases.

Please stay tuned for more detailed notes on the upcoming changes that will be introduced with this lowered EXP table for Shot Online North America. Since not all details are decided yet, we want to avoid revealing a date just yet. However, we are confident that these changes will be introduced within Q1 2016, but please don't be surprised if a delay to Q2 2016 must be made.

We will update you again very soon.

Regards,
Shot Online Team
