Typhoon driver has longer driving distance compared to Royal Players, it slows the gauge bar like the Tempest driver, and it provides more margin of error when making a shot, like the Hurrican driver. *There are 3 types of Typhoon drivers. Lower loft(10), Mid loft(10.5) and Higher loft(11).** Lower loft(10) Typhoon driver has the lower ball flight compared to Royal Players driver. Mid loft(10.5) Typhoon driver has the same ball flight compared to Royal Players driver. Higher loft(11) Typhoon driver has the higher ball flight compared to Royal Players driver. Don't understand what lower and higher ball flights do? Lower ball flight will make your shot less affected by the wind since the ball will stay low. Higher ball flight will make your shot more affected by the wind since the ball will stay high. Here are two examples. Ex.1 - You are experiencing a strong tail wind, using the Higher loft Typhoon driver will result in longer driving distance by taking advantage of the tail wind.* Ex.2 - You are experiencing a strong head wind, using the Lower loft Typhoon driver will result in, not necessarily longer, but a safer shot due to the fact that your ball will be less affected by the wind. tail wind - wind in favour of you head wind - wind against you Hope this helped you understand the different types of Typhoon driver and when to use them.
