Dual Core CPUs and Shot-Online

It is a known problem with many games that dual core CPUs can cause errors and other issues. With Shot-Online you might experience a "Speed Hack" Error.

In order to solve this problem, please do the following:

Windows XP users: visit this link:

http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?id=896256

And download the hotfix. If you have already done this then please skip this step.

AMD Users: update your CPU drivers by downloading the appropriate file from the following location:

http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_9706,00.html

After performing the above steps please do the following:

1. Start the Shot Online launcher;

2. When the launcher has loaded, go to your task manager - do not connect to Shot Online yet.

3. Hit the processes tab and find ShotOnline.exe

4. Right click ShotOnline.exe, select and click "Set Affinity";

5. Take a check out of ONE of the boxes to the side of CPU 1 or CPU 0 then hit OK.

Now start the client as usual. This should resolve any issues related to speed hacks being detected by HackShield.
