EXP Table Adjustments - More Info!

Hello everyone,

This is a follow-up to our previous open letter about the EXP Table Adjustment. You can read it here.

We want to explain a few things about what's going to happen on March 15th. But (almost) more importantly, what is not going to happen. Our SOM Silence4all and A_In_NS reached out to us earlier this week and explained that more and more players are concerned about further changes coming with this EXP table adjustment that would negatively impact us. The good news is, apart from EXP Events, we don't see any other major (negative) changes.

We had thorough conversations with our colleagues in the European office, and agreed that it would be much better to increase benefits in their version of Shot Online, instead of decreasing them for our players on the global service. In case you are not aware, we generally have better benefits in terms of EXP bonuses.

Here are some more details about the differences:

EXP EVENTS - Adjusted
Because players will require much less EXP to level up after March 15th, we decided to stop running 24 hour long EXP events to balance things out. Overall, players will still level much faster compared to before, even with shorter events. We divided EXP event times into 4 times of the day, running for 2 hours each. Two of those are appropriate for our European players, the other two for players playing from North America. You will find these times in our March Event Schedule.

BIANCA QUESTS - Unchanged
In our version of Shot Online, Bianca Quests are available at an earlier level (119), and provide double the experience rewards in comparison to the EU service. This remains unchanged.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS - Unchanged
In our version of Shot Online, Gold and Gold Plus Membership provides a larger experience benefit. This remains unchanged.

CHANNEL EXP BONUS - Unchanged
In our version, we gain 10% EXP bonus by selecting a less popular channel to play in. This remains unchanged.

This is all we could think of, if you have other concerns, please let our SOM know and we will update the list.

Do I need to know anything else about what's going to happen on March 15th?

Yes!

We want to let you experience the level up process for yourself! So when you are logging in that day (or any other day after the maintenance), you may see your Experience Bar going a little crazy! Don't worry, this is intentional. This reflects the amount of experience you accumulated, so, all you have to do, is to do anything that would result in gaining or losing EXP.

This will update your character level immediately, levelling you up if you accumulated enough experience.

To put this into perspective, our SOM here logged in on the test server with 1050% experience at level 126. All he had to do was to play one hole, and his character was bumped up to 131!

Play one hole solo

*The reason why we recommend to play one hole solo is because we received some concerns that your client might crash if you go in with a full party of 4, with everyone leveling up several times at the same time. So play it safe and go for one hole solo, please!
