New Chapter: Scenario Quest & World Pro III

Date Mar 07, 2016 Views 24,496

Dear community,

Today we'd like to bring you the first in a series of announcements regarding our upcoming expansions. For various reasons, which will become apparent as you read these announcements, we've given them the title "New Chapters".

While there are a number of ways in which our new expansions can be considered to open new chapters, nowhere is this more obvious than in the long-awaited expansion of the Scenario Quest, which will be discussed in the first part of this series. For more advanced players among you, the final part of this announcement offers some information on how to achieve the new title "World Pro III ", so there really is something for everyone here.

CONTENT OF SCENARIO QUEST - CHAPTER 5

The new quest series continues exactly where the previous chapter had left off. You'll meet familiar NPCs, such as Bianca (World Ranking Tour) and her husband Harold (Qualification Test), Potter (Locker Room Manager), and others.

New in Chapter 5 are the twins Hugin and Munin, who manage the lockers on the guild tournament server.

Your main companion in part one will be NPC Bianca, who will (hopefully) guide you to the new titles „National Pro I, II, and III". There are also plenty of EXP rewards available, so it shouldn't be too difficult to reach the level required for each quest.

Once you've golfed your way through this part of the quest, you will enjoy the undivided attention of a new character: André Lieu.

André Lieu, who is a World Pro III and reached level 170 a long time ago, is a fair yet strict trainer. The only reason he honors Valhalla School with his presence is its reputation for being an excellent talent pool.

During one of the first quests with André Lieu you will gain access to a new game system, which allows you to use the tricks of your veteran coach to increase your EXP more quickly (more on this follows below).

Like every good series, chapter 5 ends with a bang, a bang so loud that it can be heard even at Helheim Golf School.

WHAT'S NEW IN THE SCENARIO QUEST?

André Lieu is a keen advocate of constant repetition. In fact, he didn't simply refine the system introduced in the previous chapter, but cracked it wide open. We're speaking of course of counting Pars, Birdies, and Eagles. Unlike his colleagues, who are happy enough to let you potter away at small scores, André challenges you right from the start with 300x PAR or better.

A word of warningAs we already mentioned, André is strict yet also fair, which means your PAR counter as well as that of the other players will go up. If you play in a room with three other players, all of whom are on a PAR or better, then your count (and that of the other players) will increase by four points rather than just one.

ANDRE LIEU'S BOOK OF TRICKS

Of course, the tedious counting of Birdies isn't entirely pointless. The completion of André's first quest unlocks a new system for Shot Online: André Lieu's Book of Tricks.

Increasing the level of André Lieu's tricks increases some of your stats. For example, once you reach Level 3, your skill permanently increases by 6. Additionally, similar to the P. Density system, players will now also be able to accumulate points. The points stack (right-hand side of the bar) increases by 1 unit for every 10 points accumulated (until a maximum of 10 units is reached). Points are available for potted Birdies on a course of any difficulty.

If you have a stack of at least 1 (i.e. 1x10 Birdies on a course of any difficulty), you can use it like an Ambrosia by right-clicking the new icon next to the
quick access bar.

When you use this feature, you'll receive the EXP bonus for the current hole as indicated in the info window. If a glitch in the matrix causes you to score a Bogey or worse, charging the trick will not incur any deductions.

Charging can be used in connection with any EXP item or EXP event.
As mentioned above, the number of skill points, bonus EXP, and max. accumulated charges will increase with each of André Lieu's "Counting Quests".

The bonuses of the system increase as follows:

Quest Bonus EXP Max. Stacks Skill
1. 5% 5 2
2. 6% 6 4
3. 7% 7 6
4. 8% 8 8
5. 10% 9 10
6. 12% 10 12
7. 14% 10 14
8. 16% 10 16
9. 18% 10 18
10. 20% 10 20

ITEM SHOP

Additionally, those of you who up to now have not played any quests will have the opportunity to use an item to reach a scenario level of 102 or 120, which allows you to access the new quest immediately.
These items can be purchased in the Item Shop. We'll announce their exact price as soon as they become available.

WORLD PRO III

Finally, it goes without saying that the most advanced players among you will be able to improve their game and titles even further. With our next maintenance we will introduce the title "World Pro III".

Along with this title you will of course receive a number of benefits as well as some new items:

-          World Pro III Ball [45%] 2 pc, 3 pc, and 4 pc (45%-balls are at the moment exclusive to World Pro III)
-          World Players Driver (same flight and roll reactions as with Zeus-Driver)
-          World Pro III Buff – can be used up to ten times per day

We hope this satisfies your curiosity regarding the new updates to the Scenario Quest.

Stay tuned for further updates later this month.
