Hello Shot Online Community!

We know you still have many questions relating to SOWC, so we decided to gather most of them together.

1. I scored -3, my opponent got -1 and i still lost? What the...!!!???

SOWC is scored on hole by hole basis ( Very much like Match League). Its not your overall stroke count, but score for each hole that matters. You score better than your opponent - you get 1 point. So it is possible to have less strokes, but still loose the game.

Here is an example of such a game

2. My records had changed, and I didn't play any new qualification rounds!

Do not panic. Round recorded on Monday is just a base for the SOWC. It will be initially used for your opponents in passive ( AI/ghost play). However, whenever you play SOWC actively, the holes you play will overwrite the record with most recent score. Here are some examples:

This also means that the most recent results will be used for your opponents!

3. My Qualification round was quite poor. If someone plays against record when I sleep, will I lose points?

No. You only lose or gain point while playing actively. You never lose points if someone defeats your record.
It does not mean record is not important: If you don't pay attention in qualifications, your opponents will have easier task of scoring points!

3. Its all fine and dandy, but what's in it for me?

In short, EXP.

First, all SOWC games are counted as 4 player game regarding basic hole EXP rewards.

Additionally, all EXP events, EXP items, Happy Course and such work for SOWC matches!

When the championship period is over, you get the appropriate reward, depending on your rank (please note that the S rank and better and awarded golbally, and there can be only ONE player with Champion rank, 1 player with SSS+ rank, 1 player with SSS rank, 6 ranked SS, etc. for other ranks there is no limitation)

4. So how do you gets those ranks?

You get WP (World Points) for playing active matches in SOWC during the competitive period. The better was your play and better point difference, more WP points you get. But be careful: if you lose a game when rated at least rank D, you will lose some points! (you don't lose points if you're under rank D)

Points lost for defeat in tie break and by losing the match by one point are same. Shutdown/DC column indicates points lost if game terminated abnormally during match ("rage quit")

Additionaly, you get bonus points for consecutive wins:

5. SOWC is not working!

SOWC is available for 3 weeks during each month. Additionaly, SOWC will be unavailable during server maintenance of each server (KR, JP, EU, US)

6. We tied for 1st place, why did he win?

For top 50 global players (ranks S and better) in case of a draw ( same amount of points) following tie breaks will be used

- Number of wins (if still tied then)
- Consecutive wins (if still tied then)
- Number of games played (if still tied then)
- Closer to the pin distance (final)

7. The week is over! Where are my prizes?

Ranking prizes are awarded after the monthly cycle ( three weeks) is over. The quests however are variable (most of them are weekly)

8. I am still level 119, Can I play when I reach 120 even if the SOWC is ongoing?

You will be able to play the second you meet the requirements, even if SOWC round is already in progress!

9. Can I check my score while playing qualification round?

You can check your score anytime by pressing Alt-D.
