Celebrate Oktoberfest with Shot Online!
Servus, Prost, Prost, Prost!
From tomorrow, this can be heard in all the beer tents at Munich's Oktoberfest, or, as it's known locally, the Wies'n. Traditionally, the Oktoberfest is the place where people celebrate the end of the harvest season in quiet contemplation by throwing beer after beer after beer into them, which is then as quickly as possible expelled from their bodies in various ways to make room for more beer.
We would like to take this opportunity to warn our players of the risks of consuming excessive amounts of alcohol. We want to show you all the brilliant things the Oktoberfest has to offer, and for that reason, we've created our own Wies'n event ( and also give you a chance to learn most important German words you will ever learn!):
''Die Breze'' (Pretzel) - ''Das Lebkuchenherz''(Gingerbread Heart) - ''Plastikrose'' (Plastic Rose) - ''Brathendl'' (Roast Chicken) - ''Mass Bier'' (Stein of Beer) - Lederhose - Dirndl And to top it all it off, we've put up something that will please both children and grown-ups:
The Ferris Wheel
PART I – Holecount events 28TH SEPTEMBER TO 28TH OCTOBER
''Die Breze'' - The Pretzel
A product of the fine art of baking, the shape of the pretzel is said to describe a praying child. This picture shows a so-called "Swabian Pretzel", easily recognizable by its thin, knotted arms. On the following dates you will have the chance to win a Pretzel: - 29/09/2017: 20 birdies on a hard course of your choice, Swift Stroke, 2-4 players - 03/10/2017: 20 birdies on a hard course of your choice, Swift Stroke, 2-4 players - 08/10/2017: 20 birdies on a hard course of your choice, Swift Stroke, 2-4 players - 11/10/2017: 20 birdies on a course of your choice, Swift Stroke, 2-4 players ''Das Lebkuchenherz'' - The Gingerbread Heart Often adorned with a sugar-sweet message like "I mog Di" (Bavarian for "I like you") or "Wies'n 2017". It's the perfect gift for all the wannabe princes on white steeds who hope to win the heart of their chosen maiden. On the following dates you will have the chance to win a Gingerbread Heart: - 30/09/2017: 20 birdies on a hard course of your choice, Swift Stroke, 2-4 players - 04/10/2017: 20 birdies on a hard course of your choice, Swift Stroke, 2-4 players - 09/10/2017: 20 birdies on a hard course of your choice, Swift Stroke, 2-4 players - 14/10/2017: 20 birdies on a course of your choice, Swift Stroke, 2-4 players Why are there more dates for those two items? We don't want you to feel in any way stressed by the event. All players should of course enjoy the Ferris Wheel and the festivities, but they should not feel pressurized by our offer. That's the reason why we picked 4 dates for each item and decided that the last round should be easier in comparison to the previous ones. PART II – MINI GAME 12:00, 28TH SEPTEMBER TO 23:59, 17TH October
Like the real Oktoberfest, our event offers you the chance to play the odd mini game. However, in Shot Online, you won't be throwing balls at pyramids of cans or shooting at little plastic stars. We're talking about something that's more golf-related; namely, as you may have guessed (or deduced from the heading), the Mini Game.
You can win the following items by playing the Mini Game: Station 3 – ''Mass Bier'' (Stein of Beer) Typical Bavarians, not content with the 2cl shot glass à la Cologne, they have to brag by drinking a whole liter of that lovely beverage from a single vessel. And as nobody wants to lag behind, this golden juice is running down throats all over the world. Station 5 – ''Plastikrose'' (Plastic Rose) This brings us back to the Gingerbread Heart. Before those princes get to present those hearts to their darlings, they have to prove their marksmanship. While those giant teddy bears are unattainable for most shooters, a plastic rose is easily got – if only out of pity in some cases. ;) Station 7 – '''Brathendl'' (Roast Chicken) In Bavaria, known as "Brathendl" or just "Hendl", while in other parts of Germany it may be called "Goldbroiler" or "Rubber Eagle". There's not too much to add here, except perhaps that it is NOT eaten with knife and fork – you barbarians! Station 8 – Lederhose THE piece of clothing for people who want to show that they're true Bavarians... ...or third-rate celebrities who managed to get their hands on a VIP ticket for the ox-roasting (in most cases by selling their own soul). Station 10 – Dirndl See "Station 8 – Lederhose". Same as Lederhose, but for Ladies with a good sense of fashion. PART III – ITEM RECIPE SYSTEM 19TH SEPTEMBER TO 3RD OCTOBERThis part is easy:
Please note:
We hope you have a lot of fun at the Oktoberfest!
